Hey guys, I haven’t posted in my blog for a while!
This is for a few reasons; I was training hard for the NY open which was last weekend, and I am in my final weeks for school! So i Have been very busy with so many things; as well dealing with a few personal problems.
I was bummed that I wasn’t able to fight at the open; I had missed registration due to money issues, but with some awesome people and generous donations I am flying off to California at the end of may to train for a few days and fight at Worlds. I am excited to test my skills in one of the biggest stages of Jiujitsu. I have the mindset to beat all of my opponents and make an impression on the scene over there! I want them to remember my performance!
The next few weeks I will be posting my diet, training reg, etc.
Thank you to God for putting these people in my life that are making my dream come true, and thanks as well for giving me the mindset of being a champion!
Hey guys; its been a while since I last posted on the blog; I’ve been very busy with school, work, training for tournaments! Pretty soon I will be on break from school for Thanksgiving and Christmas; which means I will be drilling and training like a MAD man more than i have! (lol).
Since the last time I posted; I’ve been changing my game up allot! I have been working on a lot of arm dragging and butterfly/x-guard stuff, and as always adding to my half guard which I love to play still! I’ve been enjoying the change in the flow of my drilling technique and feel like I now have more attacks & sweeps than I have had before. I’ve also been studying allot of Ciao Terra’s matches, and I have been slowing everything down and writing every thing down I’m my Jiujitsu journal that he does, and drill what he does and add it to my game! The end result is coming out the way I want and expected! I think it is important to watch tournament videos and just watch every match and break each one down so you can see the pro and cons of certain moves! For me I feel that it has been a great help, not only to drilling stuff i study from videos, but rewriting down what went down in class!
This weekend coming up I will be going to NAGA East cost Championship! I won the Northeast one; and now I am looking to be the east and northeast champion for Blue belts! After this tournament I will Focus on the IBJJF calender, and hopefully the UAEJJ trials if they actually hold one in New Jersey this year, like they did last year! But That is my main focus right now!
And on a side note, for you GI addicts and Rash Guard Addicts, I got my ADCC rashie by shoyoroll, and a new training/competition gi from CTRL industries! Great stuff and I will post pics of them soon! all I have to say is that I am a big lover of SYR and I really do think CTRL industries will put a run for SYR money, great stuff form them, I support them 100% and will be buying more gear from them! “100% technique 0%juice!”
I also want to take the time out and give thanks to my Products sponsors Onnit Labs and Defenfse soap! I will make you guys proud!

Hey guys! So its been a few days since I last posted on this thing; I’ve been very busy with school and getting ready for some tournaments coming up! Training has been going very well! My endurance has increased and overall my new diet has got me feeling light but strong! And with the help on ONNIT LABS they’re supplements that they have sent me have been keeping me energized and focused on the future task at hand!
I was bummed that the World Pro Trials set for this weekend at NY are apparently not happening after training hard for a few months I was let down when not getting any information back from the organizer of the tournament or for that matter the UAEJJ its self! But I will carry on I will compete in the NAGA east coast championship and grapplers quest world championships before the year ends!
After that I will have about two months to prepare for IBJJF tournaments such as the NY Open and hopefully and if all things go well financially, I will fly and fight at the Worlds in Cali! So That’s what has been up with the Macaco! As well I am shooting a testimonial/ HL video for Onnit labs by Good life Media who did my other promo video! I will try and keep posting regularly on this now since things have open up! God Bless!
Hello!
It has been a few days since I last posted; I’ve been one very busy monkey! To start out training has been very good, it has been super hard and my body has been sore from it; but I love it and it will be totally worth it! This week, a good old friend of mine that i started training with when i first got to NYMAG came home today to do some great training! My brother Corey! The man drove four hours to come train, what dedication; Arife and I woke up at six am and had a great morning training ssession! We trained for three hours straight going over technique and rolling hard! I have to thank these guys for the great training; for sure its making me get to the next level!
After training we rested, I went home and had my breakfast and went to sleep to re charge for the next session! When I woke up I was happy to find that I had a package from my sponsor Defense Soap! And what a care package it was! Thank you Guy you rock, for sure I will be representing you to the fullest when i compete!
The second session was a success; had a great warm up and drills! Learned some great sweeps and set ups to drill and add to my game! I love that no matter how much you progress you are always learning new things daily!
next weekend as stated on the UAEJJ website is the Trails for the World Cup in NY; I haven’t gotten any contact back as to where the tournament will be or the cost, if any one could let me know i would appreciate it greatly! The website just says the date and the state where its going to be! And soon I will send in my application to get my card for the ibjjf tournaments I will compete in, Hopefully I will have the money to fight at world this year!
I thank god for my family’s; my home and gym ones. For keeping me healthy and for the good training and friends that i have!
Till next post! Ossss

Yesterday was the NAGA Northeastern Championship! My teammate and Nymag Brother Irwin and I took a three hour trip up to Twin River Casino in RI. We had to wake up at 5am For this trip;and I have to say it was worth it! We arrived at the tournament location and everything wen smooth from their! We both weighed in and then went to get some healthy breakfast food, we were in luck their was a 24hr Subway in the place! After we were done with all that, we went to the rules meeting to see if they updated any rules and went on to warm up for the matches!
I am very proud of Irwin! His game has evolved so much in the past eight months I have trained with him. His dedication to bettering his technique showed in all three of his matches in his Nogi weight class! Being explosive and putting very good pressure on his opponents, and always remembering position before submission! All his hard work paid off and he won gold in his weight class! Then My man Irwin challenged himself and went for absolute! And ended up taking 2nd place! Very great showing for my Friend!
While he was fighting in the Absolute, my GI matches started up! I was the first match of the division. My game plan was to go for the take-down and if not able to take him down; Then I would sit down in guard, which is what I did; I let my opponent come into my guard from where I got a nice sweep, i passed and took side control, and submitted him with a choke form side control! ended about two minutes in, then i had two bi matches where i just relaxed and watched these guys fight in the fly weight division, those guys are small but are fast and technical! Then i had my final match; it was a Great fight; The guy was very good! had great pressure but i ended up getting the sweep at the end to take first place! I was super happy to say the least, I’ve been working hard with my team and just preparing for upcoming tournaments and i have to say we put 200% in when we train and we get out 200% with our performance!
The day was a great succes and I learned what i have to improve on; even though I won first place, I know I can improve my game to win quickly! Thank you to my whole team! and thank you to GOD for keeping me healthy thoughout training and keeping Irwin and I safe on our trip to and from the Casino!
I want to thank Onnit labs for the Shroom Tech Sport, the stuff kept me energized throughout the whole tournament! I deff Support you guys, and anyone reading my blog should deff check their line of supplements out! I felt like i could go for 15 more matches! Good Stuff Guys!
Till next time, lets keep training hard! My next step is to fight at the world pro trials in NYC Nov 5th!

Hey guys! I am so sorry that I haven’t posted in the past two days I have been very busy training to get ready for some up coming tournaments! First off yesterdays kid class was super fun, I changed some rules around and basically told the kids that they are team, and that just like if they were on a football for basketball team, their conduct on and off the field/court effects everyone on the team, that this jiujitsu team is your team and an extension of your family! Then we just drill, drill, drilled! Then nogi practice was awesome, did some more drilling from different positions; i really enjoy drilling, for me it makes my movements so much better and I’m able to do things in my game without thinking about it.
As well I’ve been networking via Twitter and emails; and soon it seems it will pay off, I’m just waiting for the conformation but hopefully and GOD willing my blog will have a link on a heavily visited jiujitsu website! So i want to thank everyone whose following me here/re-blogging/sharing me! Remember follow @macacojiujitsu :)
And today’s training went well, We did a nice workout before rolling, and im getting in better shape everyday! The mat time today; really enjoyed it, we got some good rolls in and worked some great positions! I need to thank Sprawl ‘N’ Brawl for the rash guard, thanks guys its been holding up well!
Other than that I am keeping my mind focused on these tournaments coming up and I know I’m ready for WAR!
